Rushes

After a long wait, I finally saw the rushes synched.  They look great.  I feel like a child getting a box of building blocks and I need help making something good with them.  So it's time to find the right editor for the job.  The script worked to get a great cast and crew, so now the rushes have to work to get a great editor. Looks like I'll be back on the phone.

Random Photo

This took ages to upload.  There is a quicker way I'm working on to get the file on-line.

The Rushes Are Coming

It's taken a long time but I finally saw the rushes, although still mute, so I just had a quick look.  I'm thrilled with how they look.  Later this week I'll see and hear them when the sound is synched up.  I can't wait to get started.  Will know more about the edit on Wednesday.

Also spent some time editing stills - half way there and the file has over a hundred images - any technical suggestions for getting these on-line for easy sharing?  I'll put some on here but I can't find a way of putting the full file on.

I'm shopping around for the best deal to get our film finished on a 35mm print.  There are a number of options but the one I would most like is to print from a 2K scan of the negative.

Finally the blog is up.

I can't believe it was so easy to set this up once I decided to do it.  In hindsight, August holds for me memories of mostly making phonecalls.  Then September came - more phonecalls and a three day shoot.  And after the shoot, just to avoid a sudden change, more phonecalls.

The first thing I want to do is say thanks to everyone who made this production possible.

Stephen sat in on the transfer of the rushes in London and is very happy with the look of them.  I will see them and hear them next week and report straight back.  And we will start post as soon as possible.

Photos are still being edited for posting on the blog.  Any day now.

I hope we get finished soon and get together again for a screening.  In the meantime keep an eye on, and feel free to keep in touch through the blog.

Regards,

Bren.
